A Milestone Project is Completed
May 12, 2008

Imai Keller Moore has recently completed a $25 million renovation of MIT building E25 to provide state of the art laboratories for the Departments of Health Sciences & Technology and Earth Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences. Modernization included a complete overhaul of building infrastructure and redesign of public spaces for interaction. Renovation plans successfully kept neighboring labs in the building operational during construction.

Two New Principals Join Imai Keller Moore

Malcolm P. Kent, AIA, LEED AP joins Imai Keller Moore after 21 years at Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott, where he was a Director and a Principal in the Science Practice Group. He brings to the firm particular expertise in the programming, planning and design of research facilities and academic science buildings as well as extensive experience in a range of building types, including libraries, teaching spaces, offices and residential projects.

Martha E. Ondras, AIA joins Imai Keller Moore after 20 years as leader of Ondras Associates Architects, a 50-person office serving higher education and institutional clients, and 4 years of managing capital planning and design projects for MIT and Harvard. Her work is focused on the planning and design of academic and cultural buildings and renovations to historically significant structures.

Phillips Acadamy Renovation Uses Auralization to Remodel an Historic Rehearsal Space

In order to improve acoustic performance, advanced sound modeling was used to transform a high ceilinged recital hall into an excellent venue for rehearsal, performance and recording.
