While the development at Grant's Block in Downcity Providence provides much-needed parking for the neighborhood's growing retail and residential community, the owner sees the opportunity to make the project contribute more to Providence by including a large residential component and retail spaces along the three major streets it fronts. A series of studies are under investigation which look at a variety of program combinations and construction types as they address market conditions, construction costs and urban design.
