Brandeis’ Career Center is part of Usdan, a student center and support services building from the 1970s. The Career Center had received only minor upgrades since the building’s construction. Brandeis asked IKM to meet with the Career Center staff and develop several design options to meet their current needs.
The Career Center serves an important function for undergraduates, and is often one of the last experiences students have before leaving the campus. It is also the location for recruiters to interview students. For all these reasons, the appearance and the functioning of the Career Center are important to the University.
The design for the Career Center creates views into the space and visual connections between the program elements, while reorganizing the elements to match their current operations.
