Brandeis’ Linsey Pool had been unavailable to the university for two years due to mechanical problems, when IKM was asked to bring the 1966 facility back to functioning and to upgrade its systems and appearance.
A new mechanical system will include humidity control for the pool area and air conditioning in the other spaces. New down lighting will ring the pool, with a brighter light setting to meet NCAA standards. Acoustical treatment on the ceiling and walls of the pool area will reduce reverberation and improve intelligibility.
