One Brave Idea

One Brave Idea’s Cardiovascular Medicine (OBI) initiative was created to bring together a multidisciplinary team to challenge current approaches to coronary heart disease.

Transparency, interaction, and collaboration across disciplines were core components of this initiative, and the physical design needed to enhance those qualities.

OBI’s new space was accomplished on a very short schedule, from initial programming to complete Contract Documents in 2.5 months.

Such a short schedule required intense collaboration between the client, multiple users, and the design team. This programming and design coordination mirrored the interdisciplinary qualities that OBI wanted to encourage in its team within and beyond BWH.

Interaction between different working groups and disciples was the key to progress, and the physical design needed to enhance it.
