The Wolf School, a K-8 school for children with learning differences, commissioned IKM for a three-phase campus-wide renovation to upgrade the existing classroom buildings and expand much needed program space, including a new gymnasium and classrooms.
The Classroom Addition provides new facilities for use by the 7th & 8th grade levels, including a science classroom, a humanities classroom, a multipurpose room with movable partition for flexibility, and a hall/gathering space for small assembly. Technology upgrades include smart boards and wireless internet.
Particular attention to noise, light, and temperature were orchestrated to control environmental conditions and reduce distractions. Large picture windows alternate with smaller operable windows in a playful manner to let in abundant light and fresh air, while an independent air conditioning system was installed for summer school use.
